Gemini In-Depth

Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac and is a mutable air sign. Mutable, meaning adaptable, agreeable and perhaps most significantly – changeable. Geminis have dual personalities; as air signs, they are perpetually in motion. Their ruling planet of Mercury enhances this – meaning Geminis tend to go back and forth, flitting from one thought/thing to another. However, in common with Mercury, they also speak two languages – that of body and soul!

Gemini Traits

Geminis may well have grown up being described as ‘chatterboxes’; they are the ultimate talkers…Talking of childhood, Geminis seem to always keep an element of innocence and wonder from growing up. This trait is charming to many, but they need to be careful of the Peter Pan effect and others tiring of them not wanting to grow up.

This zodiac sign gets bored – at work, at home and in life in general. So, they tend to build a life that provides multiple stimulations. They likely have more than one job, not a steady career. They have many interests and hobbies and will flit from one to another as the mood strikes. Equally, they have friends for all occasions! They often make great multitaskers – so you can expect that they are making dinner whilst watching TV and texting – all at the same time.

Matters of the Heart

Being in tune with their emotions and emotional resilience, in general, is not a Geminis strong suit. They can be overly sensitive, perhaps picking apart what others have said and done to them. However, they can lack showing sensitivity to others. They are likely to use their best distraction technique – talking; to avoid having to think and say out loud what they are feeling and experiencing.

For this star sign, love needs to be perfect – they will search for a long time, holding on to the belief of a true soul mate. They are flirtatious by nature and desire a partner to be tender and faithful. For Gemini to give serious consideration to settling down, they must, above all else, feel ‘understood’ and ‘seen’.

Frustrations

Geminis tend to change stories; this isn’t something they necessarily maliciously intend to do, in the sense of ‘lying’; it is just the narrative they create around their lives, dropping inconvenient details here and there.

There is no doubt that Geminis love a bit of gossip; but entrust your secrets to them at your peril – as they are unlikely to hold them!
